Associate Choreography
Creating and supporting spaces where everyone’s humanity is seen and respected.
NBCUniversal upfronts 2025 — stage director/choreographer: mark myars
I worked as dance assistant to stage director/choreographer Mark Myars and his assistant Lou Castro for the 2025 NBCUniversal Upfronts at Radio City Music Hall and was the only swing for the 24-person dance ensemble. Together, we choreographed and staged 4 musical sequences in one week including a 6-minute opening number featuring Seth MacFarlane and sequences featuring Bravolebrities, soccer players, and a live marching band. This amazing group, led so excellently by Mark, made this whirlwind process such an incredible experience.
broadway bares come out, come out - choreographer billy griffin
For the second year in a row, I was associate choreographer to Billy Griffin (alongside associate Sammie Denham) for his piece “Toto’s Pup Pound” for 2025’s Broadway Bares Come Out, Come Out. Billy creates such a supportive collaborative space and ensure everyone feels seen and appreciated throughout his whole process. Billy, Sammie, and this incredible cast, along with costume designer David DW Withrow, made this process such an enjoyable and fun experience. And the production collectively raised $2,447,967 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
natasha, pierre & the great comet of 1812 — director: dontee kiehn, choreographer: charlie sutton
I was able to wear many hats and learned so much being a part of PCLO’s production of “Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.” Directed by Dontee Kiehn and choreographed by Charlie Sutton, Charlie brought me on as associate choreographer, dance captain, and swing. We mounted the entire production in less than a week, and I ended up swinging on in a split track. This entire company blew me away with their talent and dedication, bringing this opera to life so incredibly beautifully in such a short amount of time.
other associate work
Being an associate choreographer allows me to create and support spaces in a way where everyone feels seen and respected in their wholeness. It allows me to use all of my skills to help bring a choreographer’s vision to life. I love being an associate, and it is the most fulfilling work I do. I’ve worked as associate choreographer to Billy Griffin, Charlie Sutton, Nicholas Palmquist and as assistant to Mark Myars and Al Blackstone. Each of these choreographers has been nothing but an absolute pleasure to work with and taught me so much about leading and running spaces where everyone feels seen and valued and bringing incredible choreography to life.
